Intervals Aloud has no account, sign-in, analytics, advertising or tracking. We do not store your routines, history, health data, photos or videos. When a name needs a custom spoken cue, only that cue text and your chosen voice are sent to our speech service long enough to return the audio.
Your history and generated audio stay on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, routine definitions may sync between your own Apple devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage. Completion history and Health data are never placed in iCloud by Intervals Aloud. We cannot see anything in your personal iCloud account, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If you grant permission, finished routines are written to Apple Health as workouts so they appear in Fitness. This is optional, and the app works fully without it.
The app only writes to Health. It never reads your health data. Health data never leaves your device by way of this app, and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Not used. The app never requests access to them.
The four coach voices include a bundled vocabulary. If a routine or interval name is not in that vocabulary, the app sends only the complete cue text and the selected voice to the Intervals Aloud speech service over HTTPS. The service runs Kokoro on Google Cloud in Israel, returns a WAV file, and does not save the cue text or audio. It has no account identifier and cannot see your full library, history, photos, videos, music or Health data.
The generated audio is cached on your device and may be copied to your paired Apple Watch. It is not generated again unless that local cache is removed. Google Cloud processes basic request information such as an IP address to deliver and protect the service, under Google Cloud's privacy notice.
In builds that offer link or picture import, the source is opened or read on your device. Source media and captured frames are not sent to us. iCloud sync is described above. Prepared routines and the bundled voice vocabulary continue working without an internet connection.
The app has no account, advertising or tracking and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Custom cue text is handled as described above.
Deleting the app removes its on-device history and cached audio. To remove workouts already written to Apple Health, use the Health app, which controls that data independently. To remove synced routine definitions, clear the app's iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings.
